Then lightly smear the surface with an <a href=\"http:\/\/elfen-und-helden.de\/product\/dixie-belle-sanding-sponge\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"131134\">sanding sponge<\/a>, as it was quite shiny.<\/p>\n\n<p>As a basis for this, I choose the <a href=\"http:\/\/elfen-und-helden.de\/product\/dixiebelle-chalk-mineral-paint-barn-red\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"130170\">Barn<\/a> Red and <a href=\"http:\/\/elfen-und-helden.de\/product\/dixiebelle-chalk-mineral-paint-honky-tonk-red\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"130354\">Honkytonk<\/a> Red from Dixie Belle from the Chalk Mineral Paint series. First, I paint a base with the Barn Red. For this I use my Minibrush from Dixiebelle. I hardly touch the surface with the brush, like butterfly kisses. Today I chose this shape with a complete base color and then incorporate the accent color over it.<\/p>\n\n<p>Dixiebelle&#8217;s Chalkmineral Paints have no volatile ingredients, are odorless, are super easy to work with and dry very quickly.  <\/p>\n\n<p>For the feet, I chose <a href=\"http:\/\/elfen-und-helden.de\/product\/dixiebelle-chalk-mineral-caviar\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"130097\">caviar<\/a>, a rich black.  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"884\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/elfen-und-helden.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/IMG_0619.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-270440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/elfen-und-helden.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/IMG_0619.jpeg 884w, https:\/\/elfen-und-helden.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/IMG_0619-300x181.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/elfen-und-helden.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/IMG_0619-768x463.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/elfen-und-helden.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/IMG_0619-600x362.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 884px) 100vw, 884px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Of course, you can&#8217;t forget the sides and the edges and so on behind the drawers. Then you can cut them to size and bend them into almost any shape. For the attachment I use the wood glue <a href=\"http:\/\/elfen-und-helden.de\/product\/titebond-quick-thick-kleber\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"184006\">Quick &amp; Thick<\/a> from Titebond.<\/p>\n\n<p>Even though the first coat of paint was well opaque, I now paint a second coat using the same technique. Since the overall picture was right for me, this time I paint the drawers separately and not in the chest of drawers.<\/p>\n\n<p>The tray also has a groove into which I work the <a href=\"http:\/\/elfen-und-helden.de\/product\/wood-u-bend-tr0046-trim-borte-leiste-12cm\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"176091\">WoodUbend Trim TR46<\/a> . To do this, I first seal with <a href=\"http:\/\/elfen-und-helden.de\/product\/dixiebelle-wachs-easy-peasy-spray-wax\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"130708\">Easy Peasy Spray wax<\/a>. This is a liquid water-based wax for sealing and has the advantage that it dries within 25-30 minutes. The <a href=\"http:\/\/elfen-und-helden.de\/product\/dixie-belle-pinsel-best-dang-brush\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"180167\">Best Dang Brush<\/a> is great for larger stencils, especially for lazy people like me. <\/p>\n\n<p>In the middle I stipple first, because there is even more color in the brush. To do this, I take the caviar and dilute it with water. An oil-based gelicle that I let dry for at least 5 days and then seal with a water-based sealing varnish.
