We offer loose leaf metal in different variants, including imitation gold, imitation silver and copper. This makes it possible to create a wide variety of styles – from classic and elegant to vintage, modern or experimental looks. <\/p>\n
Product information:<\/strong> Imitation gold is often referred to as “fake gold” and is made of brass. This metal can tarnish over time. To protect the gold-plated surface, it is recommended to apply a layer of transparent Chalk Paint\u2122 Wax after application.<\/p>\n Imitation silver is made of aluminum. If you want to achieve an authentic vintage silver look, you can apply a thin layer of transparent Chalk Paint\u2122 Wax after gilding and then some dark Chalk Paint\u2122 Wax to create depth and patina. <\/p>\n Copper leaf is made of copper, which also tends to tarnish. Here too, we recommend a final coat of transparent Chalk Paint\u2122 Wax for protection to maintain the metallic effect in the long term. <\/p>\n We recommend working with lightly powdered, dry hands. This makes it easier to handle the fine leaf metal and apply it in a controlled manner to surfaces that have previously been prepared with a suitable application milk such as Gold Size. <\/p>\n Our loose leaf metal is available in booklets of 25 sheets. One booklet is sufficient for an area of around 0.49 m\u00b2.
