Who would have thought it, one of my personal FAVS is ….. Drum roll… CRACKLE?
Hands up who’s with me ?♀️ Crackle is an easy way to give your project a weathered look. Whether small or large. You can even use it under decoupage to make the image look really old ?
How to use Crackle:
1. Apply a layer of Dixie Belle color in the shade you want to appear in the cracks
2. Stir dixie Belle Crackle well and apply. The thicker the job, the bigger the cracks. Use a cross brush stroke to create irregular and wide cracks.
3. Allow the crackle to dry completely.
4. Apply a top layer with Dixie Belle color in any color. DO NOT cancel; this will interfere with the cracking. The cracking process begins while the paint dries. Allow to dry completely for 24 hours. Do not dilute the crackle.
