Chalk Paint™ Lacquer Matt is a hard-wearing, water-based polyacrylic lacquer with UV protection. It has been specially developed to permanently protect surfaces sealed with Chalk Paint™ – indoors and outdoors.

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ Lacquer – Matt
Chalk Paint™ Lacquer Matt is a hard-wearing, water-based polyacrylic lacquer with UV protection. It has been specially developed to permanently protect surfaces sealed with Chalk Paint™ – indoors and outdoors.
The matt finish provides a calm, natural surface and has a slightly color-deepening effect similar to Chalk Paint™ Wax. The underlying color appears slightly more intense, but remains authentic and velvety.
The varnish dries quickly, is completely transparent and does not yellow. Ideal for heavily used surfaces such as dining tables, garden furniture, floors, skirting boards or kitchen fronts.
One 750 ml can is sufficient for approx. 19 m², depending on the substrate and application thickness.
For anyone who loves the matt aesthetics of Chalk Paint™ and wants maximum durability at the same time.
Preparation
The surface must be clean, dry and fully cured. Chalk Paint™ should be allowed to dry for at least 24 hours before sealing.
Remove dust and dirt. Stir the lacquer well before use – do not shake.
Application
Apply thinly and evenly with a high-quality flat brush or a short-pile roller.
Apply two thin coats for optimum protection. Allow to dry for approx. 2-4 hours between coats.
The Matt Lacquer provides a calm, natural finish with minimal color deepening.
Sealing
The lacquer itself is the sealing layer and provides a robust, water-based protective layer.
Two coats are recommended for heavily used surfaces such as tables, floors or kitchen fronts.
Care
Clean with a soft, damp cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or abrasive sponges.
The surface reaches its full resilience after several days of curing.
