Dixie Belle Bonding BOSS clear/transparent – primer + primer in one product – primer

May I introduce: Dixiebelle has created the revolutionary primer Bonding BOSS – adhesive primer and primer combined in a single product! Aptly named Bonding BOSS, this primer is the result of a unique marriage of Dixiebelle’s Slick Stick and BOSS, creating the ultimate powerhouse for your painting projects. Bonding Boss is suitable for a wide range of surfaces, including glass, ceramics, laminate, metal, concrete, walls, furniture and cabinets. It is available in three different color options to suit your specific needs: use the white primer for lighter shades, the gray variant for medium tones such as yellow, red, and other darker colors, the clear variant for dark colors or the classic shabby look.

Integrate this product into your painting projects to prevent tannins from bleeding through the wood, especially in white tones or light colors, to trap unpleasant odors and also to ensure excellent durability of your paint on smooth surfaces.

Each litre of the Bonding BOSS covers about 15 m².

1. For the best application result, prepare the surface by thoroughly cleaning it of dirt, grease, soot, wax and dust with White Lightning, Pristine Clean or Terra Clean. Remove loose or peeling paint and fill in holes, cracks, and surface imperfections as needed.
2. Stir the product with circular, lifting motions until an even consistency is achieved.
3. Bonding BOSS can be applied with a brush, roller or spray gun. (if you’re using a spray gun, you MUST clean it as soon as you’re done spraying, otherwise it will clog the spray gun.) To apply with the brush, I recommend using a synthetic brush or roller. If necessary, the primer can be diluted with a maximum of 4 oz/118 ml of water per 32 oz/946 ml of Bonding BOSS.
4. For best results, apply 2-3 coats of Bonding BOSS. 3 coats of Bonding BOSS are especially important when covering colours such as red, orange or other stubborn stains. For most painting projects, two coats of Bonding BOSS should suffice. The drying and overpainting times depend on temperature and humidity. At 25°C and 50% humidity, the primer is usually firm to the touch within 2 hours. Allow to dry for at least 4 hours between layers.
5. For best results, it is recommended to wait 24 hours after applying the last coat of Bonding BOSS before proceeding with painting.

It comes in three distinct color options to cater to your specific needs: use the white primer for lighter hues, the gray variant for medium tones like yellows, reds and other darker colors, the clear option for dark colors or distressing. For added assurance against wood tannin bleed-through, especially under whites or light colors, and for superior bonding durability, we strongly recommend incorporating our Bonding BOSS into your painting routine. Each quart of our Bonding BOSS provides coverage for approximately 160 square feet. To ensure the best application results, prepare the surface by cleaning it thoroughly from dirt, grease, grime, wax, and chalk with White Lightning, Pristine Clean or Terra Clean. Eliminate any loose or flaking paint, and fill holes, cracks, and surface imperfections as needed. Stir the product with a circular, lifting motion until it achieves uniform consistency. Application methods include brush, roller or spray. (If you use a sprayer, you MUST clean as soon as you complete spraying because it will clog your sprayer if not.) For brush application, we recommend using one of our synthetic brushes or use our Smooth Roller. If necessary, the primer can be thinned with 4 oz of water per 32 oz of Bonding BOSS. AGAIN, spray clean water through sprayer after use of Bonding BOSS. For optimal results, apply 2-3 coats of Bonding BOSS. 3 coats of Bonding BOSS are especially important when covering colors such as red, orange, or other tough stains. In most painting projects, two coats of Bonding BOSS should suffice. Dry and recoat times are based on temperature and humidity. The primer typically dries to the touch in 2 hours at 77°F and 50% humidity. Allow at least 4 hours of dry time between coats. To achieve the best results, it’s recommended to wait for 24 hours after applying the final coat of Bonding BOSS before proceeding with painting.
