This charming display cabinet dates from the design era of the 1950s to early 1960s and proudly bears the metal sign “WK Sozialwerk Möbel” – a sign of quality from the period of reconstruction, when good design, functionality and social responsibility went hand in hand.

With its clear design language, typical handles and original sliding glass doors, it is a wonderful example of German mid-century furniture. In the upper section, two flexibly adjustable shelves provide generous space for crockery, books or collectors’ items – all stylishly visible behind glass. In the lower section there is a further adjustable shelf, complemented by two practical drawers for cutlery, documents or small items.
