Patterned stripes ??

Patterned stripes are extremely decorative and not that hard to make.

In this project, I fitted the interior doors with it. I used the following products:

Dixie Belle Terra Clay Paint Elderberry
Dixie Belle Terra Clay Paint Lani’s Lagoon
Belles & Whistles Stencil Morocco
Dixie Belle French Tip Brush
Dixie Belle The Belle Brush
Painter’s crepe

And these are the individual steps:

1. Thoroughly clean the surface with Dixie Belle White Lightning.

2. Apply one or two coats of your base color until you achieve the desired coverage.

3. Let the paint dry thoroughly.

4. Use painter’s tape for the stripes. You can either measure out the spacing or—like I did—simply use a piece of tape as a spacer.

5. Apply the second color for your stripes and let them dry.

6. For the pattern, for simplicity’s sake, use a stencil of your choice and, once again, the base color of your project. In my case, that’s Elderberry.

7. Just seeing the stencil revealed is incredibly satisfying. 😄

8. Last but not least, remove the painter’s tape.

Aaaand… voilà! 😍

If you’ve worked with Terra Clay Paint, you should seal your project afterward with a finish designed for that purpose.
