Annie Sloan Pearlescent Glaze is a light-reflecting, water-based effect glaze for the decorative finishing of painted and unpainted interior surfaces. It gives furniture, walls and details an elegant, shimmering pearlescent effect.

Annie Sloan Pearlescent Glaze is a light-reflecting, water-based effect glaze for the decorative finishing of painted and unpainted interior surfaces. It gives furniture, walls and details an elegant, shimmering pearlescent effect.
When applied over Chalk Paint™, it creates an intense, iridescent sheen with elegant depth. The pearlescent effect is particularly beautiful on light colors such as Old White, Pure or pastel shades.
The Pearlescent Glaze can be tinted with a small amount of Chalk Paint™ for individual color effects. This creates transparent, softly shimmering color glazes with a subtle metallic note.
The glaze is easy to apply and is ideal for decorative techniques, accent areas, ornaments or special pieces of furniture to which you want to add a touch of luxury.

Perfect for anyone who wants to work with light, reflection and subtle effects – without completely losing the typical matt aesthetic of Chalk Paint™.
Preparation
The surface must be clean, dry and free of dust and grease. The Pearlescent Glaze is ideally applied to completely dry Chalk Paint™.
For a particularly even result, the paint coat should be allowed to dry for at least 24 hours. Stir well before use.
Application
Apply thinly with a soft brush, sponge or lint-free cloth.
For a more intense shimmer, a second coat can be applied after approx. 1-2 hours.
The glaze can be used pure or tinted with a small amount of Chalk Paint™ to create transparent, shimmering color glazes.
Pearlescent Glaze is particularly effective on light shades.
Sealing
Additional sealing is not absolutely necessary.
Sealing with Chalk Paint™ Lacquer is optional for more heavily used surfaces.
Wax can change the gloss level and is therefore only recommended to a limited extent.
Care
Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or abrasive sponges.
If necessary, another thin layer of Glaze can be applied to freshen up the surface.
