Annie Sloan Pearlescent Glaze is a light-reflecting, water-based decorative glaze designed for use on suitable painted and unpainted interior surfaces. It gives furniture, walls, and decorative details a shimmering pearlescent effect.

Annie Sloan Pearlescent Glaze is a light-reflecting, water-based decorative glaze designed for use on suitable painted and unpainted interior surfaces. It gives furniture, walls, and decorative details a shimmering pearlescent effect.
When applied over Chalk Paint™, it creates an iridescent sheen whose effect may vary depending on the surface and color. The Pearlescent Glaze can also be tinted with a small amount of Chalk Paint™ to create custom shimmering glazes.

Preparation
The surface should be clean, dry, and free of dust and grease. Pearlescent Glaze can be applied to Chalk Paint™ that is completely dry.
Allow the coat of paint to dry according to the manufacturer’s instructions before continuing. Stir the Pearlescent Glaze well before use.
Directions for Use
Apply a thin layer using a soft brush, sponge, or lint-free cloth.
For a more intense shimmer, a second coat can be applied after about 1–2 hours.
The Glaze can be used on its own or tinted with a small amount of Chalk Paint™ to create transparent, shimmering color glazes.
The shimmering effect is particularly striking on light colors.
Sealing
Depending on the project and the level of wear and tear, an additional sealant may not be absolutely necessary.
For surfaces that are subject to heavier wear, you can use Chalk Paint™ Lacquer as a sealant. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s current instructions.
Wax can alter the level of shine and should only be used if this effect is desired.
Care
Clean the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning agents or abrasive sponges.
If necessary, Pearlescent Glaze can be reapplied in a thin coat. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s current application instructions.
