This is perfect for this cracked, aged effect! Dixie Belle Crackle provides everything that should look old and used with a cracked surface.

This is perfect for this cracked, aged effect! Dixie Belle Crackle provides everything that should look old and used with a cracked surface.
Apply a layer of Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint in any color (this should be the color of the cracks) The surface should be well-colored beforehand.
If natural wood is desired, apply 1 layer of Clear Coat and allow to dry completely.
Stir dixie Belle Crackle and apply. Do not dilute the crackling medium.
The thicker the job, the bigger the cracks. Use a crosshatch to create irregular and wide cracks.
Do not brush back brush; This will interfere with the cracking process. Allow the crackle to dry completely between 30 minutes and overnight.
Apply a topcoat with any Dixie Belle Paint color. The cracking process begins with the drying of the paint.
Allow to dry completely for 24 hours. Enjoy!
This is perfect for that Cracked, Aged Effect! Just like how the blazing Southern Sun can crackle lines in the desert sands…. Dixie Belle Crackle will create lines of crackle in anything you want to look for.
Apply one coat of Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint of any color. (This will be the color of the cracks), to a properly cleaned surface. (Please clean with our Dixie Belle White Lightning!)
If natural wood is desired, apply 1 coat Clear Coat and let dry completely.
Stir Dixie Belle Crackle and apply. Do not thin the crackle medium.
The thicker the application the larger the cracks. Use a cross-hatch brush stroke to create erratic and wide cracks.
Do not back brush; this will disturb the cracking process. Allow crackle to dry completely anywhere from 30 minutes to overnight.
Apply a top coat of any Dixie Belle Paint color. The cracking process begins as the paint dries.
Let dry completely for 24 hours. Enjoy!
