The visual language combines rural scenes and classic ornaments with a deliberately reduced, historical color palette. IOD Paint Inlays are particularly suitable for use with mineral chalk paints without polymers. A generous, even layer of paint is applied to suitably prepared surfaces, into which the inlay is inserted. The pigment is released from the paper by moisture and bonds directly with the paint layer. After drying, the paper is moistened and carefully removed.

A particular advantage of IOD Paint Inlays is their reusability. In most cases, the remaining pigment can be used to create a gently faded second impression. Depending on the technique, substrate and color selection, additional prints are sometimes even possible – ideal for creative effects with patina and vintage character.

Once completely dry, the design is sealed to protect it permanently. Depending on the desired finish and stress, different sealing options are available, from water-based lacquers to fixing sprays and wax. The result is durable, unique surfaces that look as if they have been painted directly by hand.
